Medicaid Fee for Service Reimbursement
At a Glance
Does your District provide direct health services to students enrolled in Medicaid? Did you know the costof those services are reimbursable to your District by the the state of Oregon?
CTA works with school districts to help them determine if claiming those funds is economically feasible. Districts are also given instruction on how to partner with the Oregon Health Authority Division of Medical Assistance Programs (OHA DMAP).
When a District-DMAP partnership is established, the District can begin submitting reimbursement requests. CTA has developed a software interface for this purpose. It is call ORMED.
◙ ORMED Is a Medicaid billing application that allows school-based health service providers* to enter service details and electronically submit billing claims to the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) for Medicaid reimbursement.
CTA maintains the ORMED software, provides instructions for use, and troubleshoots issues as they arise.
*Here is a partial list of school-based health service providers:
" ORMED has streamlined our Medicaid billing. The web-based software helps our providers manage their caseloads and the associated paperwork, i.e. consent forms, IEP information, and logs, from any computer, at any time. In addition, ORMED regularly checks for the student’s Medicaid eligibility so we only submits claims for eligible students who have current paperwork, reducing our denied claims. ORMED has a variety of reports available to monitor progress, such as number of consent forms, logs submitted, payments received, etc. The software also has helpful training videos should any staff have questions."
