Electronic Background Checks

CTA contacts with Criminal Information Services, Inc. (CRIS) to provide customized, easy-to-use, online and offline criminal background information at a reduced rate. With a per-use charge, CRIS allows clients to conduct background checks via web interface on volunteers, new hires, coaches, substitutes, teachers, and staff. The CRIS database includes access to a nationwide database of over 1,000 registries and 300 million records on criminal activities.
