Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)

CTA  can assist in determining your telephone needs and look for alternative solutions in your service area.  CTA offers centralized, shared T1 and SIP trunk lines which offer greater service capacity and lower costs through economies of scale. PSTN services provided by CTA may be eligible for Priority 1 E-Rate reimbursements

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)

Voice over Internet Protocol allows calls to be placed using computer connections to the internet.  The technology has been available since 2004 and it very widely used as a method to cut calling costs.

CTA provides installation and support services for VoIP implementations. We have installed Asterisk VoIP telephony systems in several districts. Districts are charged a nominal fee for our on-site support and installation. The installation is generally a two to three day process for small to medium sized districts.
